in the cathedral

Liliana was feeling lost and sad, so lonely. She enter in the cathedral.
She was not really catholic, but Liliana felt a little better. She sat down on a cathedral chair and look at the architectur. She suddently felt really bad and memories of her past violently came back, and, after all those years fighting back tears, it suddently blow up and she start to cry. Without a sound, silent tears were falling on her cheeks.

She dried up her tears and stood silently in the cathedral. " Is God deaf and blind.....?" She look at the candle who were slowly burning, dying without a sound.

Villius walked in the cathedral silently, every mortal was think that no vampire could enter in such a place but they was all so wrong. The fact that Villius was a vampire, didn't made him be unholy. The cathedral was really calm almost empty. He looked at the girl who was in it. Such a beautiful place where believe come say theirs prayer. He did a few step in it, but no sound came from him. He looked at the crusifix silently then he simply sat on a banch.

Liliana look at the crusifix and noticed that someone was there and salute him with a head move. *Oh, is it the man that I met in the tavern?* She tryied to see if she was able to do a mental contact. *Villius?....*

Villius stayed still, he was silent and dark like if he was now the darkness of the cathedral. He didn't looked at Liliana but he did read her mind, he knew that she was trying to make any contact with him. He closed his eyes then he whispered some words in latin.

*What is he wispering?* She listen carefully. *latin?* She never thought that vampires were unhable to go in churchs or cathedrals. * That's so stupid to think this. After all, they are kind of human being, and if all we say about God is truth, he wouldn't rejet them.*

Softly making his nail run against the wood of the banch infront of him, it wasn't making any sound while Villius was whispering gently latin words. With his eyes closed he listened to Liliana's heart beat, the way she was breathing, the way she was moving in this cathedral. He had his eyes closed but it was like if he could see through time and space.

Liliana walk carefully and slowly, not far from the banch where Villius was sitting. She took a deep breath and start to sing lowly.

Slowly he opened his eyes, with his hair infront of his face, Liliana couldn't see the vampire face. Still whispering and sliding his finger against the wood, Villius was sitting there, listening at the women foot step. An old women entered in the cathedral, walked and sat at the first banch silently. He lifted his head a bit and looked at Liliana right in the eyes. A silence so deep and cold between them, like when an angel pass by.

Liliana suddently had a bad premonition. *What are you going to do? You're not going to hurt that old women aren't you?* Even if Villius looked like an angel, she knew he would be able to do it....

Staying still, dark and cold. The night, a reflection into his eyes of all his darkness deep inside of himself. Villius was really calm while sitting in the cathedral. He looked at crusifix silently.

"Don't you think that this place is wonder? So calm, so holy yet so loud and dark... don't you think so...?"

Liliana stare at Villius, kind of suprised. She look around her. " Yes. It's a extrordinary place who must have lived across centuries with all his mistery. But like every human being, it have his part of light and shadow."
Liliana give a quick look to the old women. * It's kind of late for an old women like her to go at church. I wonder why she's here so late..."

Villius was staying still. The cathedral echo was making every single words pronouced by Liliana and him come back into his ears softly like when the wind gently blow on a field at night time. After that Villius draw with his nail on the wooden banch infront of him, he standed up and looked at Liliana silently. Softly he whispered.

"The women come here every night at the same time since her husband died... she's not from here... i know her since many years too... she's a nice women... maybe you should go see her"

Liliana look at the women. " Poor her. She must have been so lonely after all those years. She must have loved her husband a lot." Sight." You're right. I should go see her. Why don't come with me?"

Villius slightly shaked his head while looking at the old women who was sitting. He knew her since really long but then again she didn't knew everything about him. If she was seeing him tonight she would probably think that she've right infront of her aged eyes, a ghost from the past who came back to her in this hollowfull cathedral.

"I rather not... like the ghost... i shouldn't come see this poor women."

" If you say so....." She raised up and walk in the direction of the old women. " Hello madame." The women jump of suprise. " Oh, sorry! I didn't met to suprise you." Liliana sat beside her on the banch. " The cathedral is beautiful isn't it?"

Villius was silently walked to a large pillar silently, a few times he slightly looked behind him at Liliana and at the women. Behind the pillar, he leaned his back against it staying silently. From where he was, after he closed his eyes, the vampire was listening to the conversation between them. The priest foot step was making an echo in the hollowfull place.

Stading still, silent and dark, he seemed to be the shadows of this holy catherdal. Saint Vitus was such a wonder cathedral so many people use to come here when the sun is high in the sky. So many sins told to the one who pretend to be holier than every other mortal of Prague, but then again, he had also his own sins that he had to make god forgive him. Villius came a few times in this place.

He had his eyes closed, listening to the hearts, who had a constant beat like a clock. Old, she was but the her heart was still really young, only her body changed, not her heart and her soul.

The old women look at her and smiled. ''Yes, it's a wonderful place.'' Liliana smiled too.
She turn her head and look at the pillar where the vampire was hiding.

He was still standing there behind the pillar silently. He didn't wanted to old women to regonize him. Softly he whispered :

"Its nice to see you once again... i hope you are doing better than i am doing now... "

The old women look behind her. Liliana look behind her too. '' Is there something wrong madame?'' The old lady looked at her. '' Oh...nothing. I though I've heard a voice.'' Liliana look behind her again. * A voice hein? Well....What is he doing?''

Villius became silent now that the women have heard him talking. He didn't wanted to get out of where he was hidding, affraid to scare her, but then again on another side, he wanted to see her, badly. He closed his eyes silently, breathing softly then he crawled up against the pillow to hide himself in the ceiling behind an angel.

Liliana look around her in silence. The gothic look of the cathedral was wonderful and the 'rosas' beatiful. She turn and stare at the old women. '' Someone said to me that your husband died.'' The lady stare at her with a sad look. '' Oh....sorry....I didn't met to hurt you by saying this.''

Softly, Villius whispered Liliana's name while he was hidding behind an angel at the ceiling. After that Villius whispered gently.

"Why did you talk about this to her... do you want to make today be her last one..."

He closed his eyes.

Liliana wide opened her eyes. Why was he saying that? Something was wrong in this...but what? Liliana panic. She didn't want to be responsable. Not another murder.
She raised up. '' Sorry madame, but I ahve to go. Good night.'' She smiled to the old lady and walk away from her. She pass not far from Villius and gave him a killer look.
* You're proud?* She walk outside of the cathedraland sat on a banch on the street.

Villius walked on the roof looking down at Liliana silently.

He was standing there silently, as the wind was blowing a strong way wipping his hair on the side.
