Meat and blood

Villius walked in the market silently, it was aroubd midnight and it seemed to be really calm around. The way a place is calm is different for a vampire and for a human. The moon was high in the sky. The shadows behind Villius was really his, at least that what it seem to be...

The echo of people step far away in this town was in the market, women giggling to what men was telling them in the brothel not so far from where he was. No one was really working at this time of the night, affraid to be killed by someone or something.

Anara walked into the marketplace, remembering what Villius told her back in the museum. The words he spoke about following the truth echoed in her mind as she looked around to find Villius.

Villius noticed that Anara was coming here in the market place. He stayed in the shadows for a while, checking where she was and also making sure that no one else is around them. He could see where she was but he stayed still, in the shadows, silent like the night.

Anara could not see Villius at first because it was dark outside and there were many shadows.

*He is definitely here though. I can sense it. He must be in the shadows... but why wouldn't he show himself yet?*

After a moment, the vampire came out of the shadows. He was standing behind Anara silently, he didn't made any sound. He puted his hand on the women shoulder, which surprised her.

"Calm down" he whispered.

"Sorry, you surprised me there."

Anara looked at Villius, wondering what he would say next about the path to the truth.

Villis began to walk in the market place silently and Anara was following him at his left. He wasn't talking at all about what he made Anara come here from, he was just keeping on walking huming gently a melody.

Anara listened to Villius humming. The song sounded strangely familiar, but Anara didn't quite remember from where. She walked beside Villius as the chilly but gentle nighttime breeze whispered around them, the Elements of Darkness and Air prevading around them.

Still walking softly as the wind was blowing, Villius was huming his soft melody in the night.

"Lady Anara... are you affraid of the dark..."

The way the question was asked sounded so silly but then again, Villius had something in mind with this question.

"The dark? It's a mysterious element. I wouldn't say that I'm afraid of it, but the Element of Darkness intrigues me.

The Element of Darkness whispered something into Anara's mind. It reminded Anara of the book that Selenia read in the library, about how the vampires and lycans were all infused with this Element.

The vampire stoped and simply looked at the sky silently, the stars were really beautiful, so was the moon.

"There's many kind of darkness... the one that is an element like you said... and the other that is lost in the light..."

(sorry if it took a while before i reply, i wasnt here for like 2 days so yea)

(lol it doesn't make a difference to me... I was also gone for a few days)

*He is very wise. I guess I would know what the darkness lost in the light is, since I felt that way a few years ago...*

Anara was thinking about her past, but immediately stopped. After all, dwelling on bad memories would not do any good...

Villius also stopped and looked at Anara who was lost deep in her thought. He knew that his words wasn't meaninless, they made her think about it. He stayed still and silent infront of the young mortal. Only the echo of the people far away from them was in the market place by now.

Anara had noticed that it became quiet again.

*He is always surrounded by mystery...*

Anara realized that she hardly knew anything about him, not even his name.

"Sir, pardon me for asking, but what is your name?"

He stayed still, looking at the dark sky. To Anara's question, he simply looked at her from the corner of his eyes.

"My name? Is it really important my dear? A name is just something that we put on a face."

He was standing there peacefully.

"My beautiful lady, even if you knew my name, what would you do with it?"

*He has a good point.*

"If I knew your name, I would have something to call you by. Besides, you already know my name."

Anara realized that this answer seemed simplistic, but her question was also simple.

He looked at her silently.

"You could simple call me mister or my lord, a name isn't really important. For sure i know your name, but i didn't had to ask for it, your mind gave it to me all by itself my dear.

He was really dark, his eyes was deep and cold.

*Thought interception... it takes a lot of skill to master that ability...*

Anara could interpret auras to know some basic emotions and vague thoughts, but at this point, she did not try to advance to thought interception.

"Very well, my lord."

A small smirk was on Villius's face. The vampire could tell everything that this poor mortal was thinking about, he could actualy use it at his advantage.

"When you live more than a life, you can learn everything you want my dear"

Next to them, many roses was in the small town garden, the vampire picked one and looked at it.

"You know that it took many year to the evolution to make this little flower be what it is today."

He looked at Anara and handed her the rose.

"For you my lady"

Anara smiled at Villius' kind gesture.

"Thank you. It's beautiful."

Anara pondered what Villius said about being able to learn everything she wanted.

He stayed silent in this beautiful night, Villius was not to much worried about lycans for now.

"Do you believe in creature my lady?"

Simply said the vampire.

Anara hid a frown. It was a peculiar question, since Anara was almost certain that Villius was a vampire.

"Yes, I do believe in their existance. I have met vampires and lycans before."

He wasn't surprised by the answer of this young lady, vampires and lycans have been in activities a lot recently, it wasn't so good, it could attrac slayers attention. It was getting cold and Anara shivered slightly. Villius was standing behind her then, gently, he putted his hands on her shoulders.

"The night is cold my dear friend"

He was getting closer to her, even if she was trying to run away from his hands, his mind was strong and Villius was a charming man, he could made her stay there.

Anara was a little surprised when Villius put his hands on her shoulder. Her first reaction was to escape, but she felt strangely drawn to him through his mind. Villius was luring her, that she knew. Anara is a powerful elementalist, but since Villius is still even stronger, Anara did not resist.

"Yes, it has gotten cold. It must be very late now."

He was standing still, holding Anara's shoulders softly. He began to rubs her arms a gentle way. He was looking at her softly.

"Late or early, who are we to tell if it is? For you it can be late and for me it can be early, its always depend of the way you look at everythings my dear"

He was breathing softly over her neck then he whispered.

"You're beautiful my lovely lady"
