Nozomu licks his bloody lips with a long tongue. He sits up to clean his paw. Nozomu looks at the remains of the child with not thought at all. He stands up on all fours, and trots a little ways.

Zikku walks slowly beyond the first row of trees. Suddenly, a fowl smell burns its way into her nostrils. Determined to catch BOZOmu, she followed the stench of a dead body.

Zikku's hand stays readily on the handle of her sword as she makes her way through the tangle of the forest. The stench grew thicker, almost causing her to gag.

With another step, Zikku almost tripped.

*What the- ?*

Zikku tries to yank her foot free. It was a small blue blanket caught in the thorns and around her foot.

*Ah crap.... *

Zikku sighs and sits down. She works her foot out of the thorny vines and tiny blue blanket.

A new scent caught Nozomu's attention. A young woman... wait... an elf.... wait.... I recognize this scent of blood.... wait.... I tasted it earlier..... it is fresh.

Nozomu turns around quietly and swiftly moves back the way he came. A young elf sat fiddling with the child's blanket, which it was formerly wrapped in. The corpse of the baby was not far. Nozomu crouched, ready to pounce on the unsuspecting elf.

Zikku's ear twitched. A twig snapped.

*He's here... stalking me... I can hear him breath... *

Zikku made sure not to make any sudden movements. She did everything as if she was in slow motion. She freed her foot, stood up, and held her sword readily.

"COME AND GET ME, BITCH!"

Nozomu growled at the tone of her voice.

He jumped at her, growly viciously!

Zikku saw instantly what direction he jumped from.

She pulled out her sword swiftly, swinging it up in front of her and stepping to the side for Nozomu to land on her blade.

Nozomu twisted in the air to avoid the blade, but didn't avoid it entirely. A small cut was created on his right shoulder. He turned, snarling at hre.

He circled her, searching for an open shot at her neck.

Zikku's neck started to tingle.

*Holy $#hit! Not now!*

Zikku kept her distance from Nozomu as he paced. Finally, she decided to attack first.

Zikku jumped at him with her sword behind her. Stopping suddenly, her arm swung the sword around and down upon Nozomu's skull.

Nozomu bouncet backwurds, evading her sword. He shrunk to the side and opened his jaws to bite her arm.

Zikku brought her knee up, making connection with Nozomu's chin and distorting his angle.

She stepped back, swinging her sword in the most complicated menouvers she knows. Pausing for just one moment, she took forward again, still going through the difficult swings.

She turns with her foot knocking into the side of Nozomu's face, then the sword stabbing forward.

Nozomu was caught off guard. His face is thrown to the side by Zikku's foot. That attack caused him to go off balance, and he could not react quick enough to dodge the stab.

The sword goes clean through his left shoulder and between his ribs.

Nozomu gives off a horrible howl for all of Prauge to hear. He snarls at Zikku again. Nozomu yanks back, tearing her sword out of her hand and darts off, away from Zikku. The full moon is almost gone... As he runs, a trail of blood is left behind from his bleeding shoulder.

Zikku blinks.

"MY SWORD! YOU COWARD! YOU BASTARD! GET THE HELL BACK HERE!"

Zikku runs after Nozomu the Coward.
